African Dream was originally designed to operate on the Chobe and Zambezi Rivers, in the Capri Strip, Namibia.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, she was redirected to operate on Lake Kariba, Zimbabwe.

She has a steel flat-bottomed hull, built with a very shallow draft.

Her specifications are as follows:-

  • 2 x D9 300HP Volvo engines coupled to Namjet jet drives

  • 2 x Kohler 100KVA generators

  • 1 x Volvo D9 72HP engine coupled with Herhaar Omega bow thruster

  • 8 double en-suite cabins

  • Captain and Hostess cabins, plus facilities for 9 crew

  • Central DVD stack, TV and intercom/phone and safe in every room

  • 16 pax aluminium game viewing tender boat with 2 x 60HP Yamaha 4 stroke outboard engines

Decorated in a contemporary African theme, with Mukwa timber and African sourced fabrics and finishes, she is considered to be the best boat on the lake.
